The IPL device can be used with dark blond, brown and black hair, as well as light to medium brown skin color. IPL is not effective for very light, red or gray hair. The device is not suitable for very dark skin. For classification, the table in the instructions for use helps.

There are directed light pulses on the hair. The pigment melanin in the hair root absorbs the light, causing heat. This deactivates the hair follicles deep in the skin, thus preventing further hair growth. With the "flash-slide" function, the application is particularly fast and comfortable.
