The innovatek HPPS i High Power 12V pump (innovatek / Eheim) is the industry variant of the proven HPPS Plus pump.
The HPPS i is intended for industrial applications and has a much higher headroom of 3.10m, but is also louder than the HPPS plus, which is optimized for applications in the PC.
The HPPS i, like the HPPS plus, can not be compared to other, conventional 12V pumps because the electronics of the HPPS i are significantly further developed and have numerous additional features.

Overview:
The newly developed HPPS i has a significantly increased delivery height of 3.1 m compared to the proven HPPS plus pump, which has meanwhile been used many thousands of times. However, due to the considerably increased performance, the HPPS i is not silent (for comparison: the HPPS Plus works almost inaudibly).
The HPPS i differs in the drive, the electronics and also in the impeller from the "normal" HPPS plus.
However, the storage is also in the HPPS i in full ceramic. That Both axle and bearing tube are made of ceramic material which ensures an extreme life.
Details:
The HPPS i pump can be connected directly to 12V, e.g. Power supply of a PC can be connected and there is NO 230V ~ connection necessary! Elaborate laying of the power cable is eliminated and the pump is also automatically switched on and off with the PC. Also, NO external module or wiring is required to operate the pump.
In order not to impair the excellent properties of this pump, a very complex microprocessor electronics is used, which monitors and controls the pump.

Explanation of how the HPPS Plus works:
The special feature of the HPPS i pump is the extremely quiet operation and the high reliability (and the 12V connection) in the special control by the built-in microprocessor and thus the "intelligence" of the pump.
Unlike normal pumps, the HPPS i always adjusts to the prevailing environmental conditions (ie the existing water cooling system) and thereby achieves optimum performance.
Functionality:
A normal pump always runs at the same speed (frequency) and the same power. This means that the more components are in the cooling circuit, the further the flow goes down, as the resistance in the system increases. So power is lost and also the pump does not work optimally.
However, the HPPS i can react flexibly and adapt to the respective conditions. So the HPPS i will always try to achieve the optimal operating point and the optimum delivery rate in every water cooling system. This is individually determined and set by very complex measurements when starting the pump. Depending on the system, the pump works stronger or weaker -> It adapts individually!
