The most ancient ancestor of kendama is the Inuit game ajagak, or ajagaq as it also can be spelled, can be traced back more than 2500 years in Greenland and other parts of the Arctics.
Together with BIBI CHEMNITZ, the Greenlandic fashion designer, we have created a kendama and accompanying apparel that celebrates the clash between ancient and the present.
