The entry-level bicycle for children under one meter tall is called PUKY® Z 2!
The smallest steel bicycle in the PUKY® model range is specially designed to meet the needs of the youngest. With its 12 inch wheels suitable for children from 95 cm upwards, this bike has been designed to be child-friendly down to the last detail. This means that there are no sharp edges on the entire bicycle, especially neuralgic areas such as the handlebars and the grips are additionally padded. We deliberately refrain from using a biting V-brake, but instead we use cantilever brakes with our children's bikes which are much better to dose in order to avoid falls in case of abrupt braking. The luggage carrier integrated in the frame is particularly stable and allows a higher payload. The completely closed chain box not only prevents soiling of the clothing, but also prevents children from reaching into the drive. Even the bell is designed in such a way that the body of the bell cannot be unscrewed, thus avoiding the appearance of sharp edges. Who doesn't remember his first bike - a bright red PUKY®... Today it doesn't necessarily have to be red, but by PUKY®. The PUKY® Z 2 is available in red, lovely pink and kiwi.

CHILD-FRIENDLY DESIGN
Children have a smaller field of vision than adults, i.e. they only take in their surrounding with a limited viewing angle. This limitation carries risks, especially in areas close to traffic. For this reason, it is particularly important that children are in the most upright position possible when sitting on a bike. Only a relaxed, upright posture makes it possible for children to perceive their surroundings in an optimum way when riding a bike, which provides the basis for safe driving behaviour. PUKY® takes into account meaningful adjustment ranges for individual growth phases and thereby ensures a useful working life. Because children's centre of gravity, unlike that of adults, is located in the upper half of the body, it is also especially important to design the frame geometry so that a children's bicycle exhibits a particularly balanced driving behaviour. The child-friendly positioning of the pedal bearings and the optimal distance between saddle and handlebars are additional important factors for a child-friendly frame geometry.
SAFETY HANDLEBAR GRIPS WITH SHOCK-ABSORBING AIR CHAMBER
Safety and child friendliness are key points of all PUKY® vehicles. So PUKY® was the first manufacturer who built special safety handlebar grips with large baffles. These protect hands against injuries when an accident happens or when the child should fall on the handlebar. At the same time, the safety handlebar prevent unwanted lateral slipping. The grip surface provides good grip and the small diameter is suitable for children's hands and allows a complete gripping. An air chamber is integrated to absorb load peaks caused by vibrations. It prevents numbness during longer journeys.
CLOSED CHAIN BOX
It is not without reason that the standard for play bicycles in the EU requires a closed chain box. If the chain is open, it can quickly happen that children are seriously injured by pinching their fingers in the chain. That's why PUKY® always has a chain box on wheels for this age group. We care about the well-being of our children. In addition, the closed chain box also prevents shredded and dirty trousers or clothes.
HANDLEBAR PROTECTOR
No master has yet fallen from the sky, but all the big cyclists from their first balance bike. So that just in case the consequences are as light as possible, we provide a large handlebar pad directly with. This minimizes the impact on the handlebars. As always with PUKY® fabric and foam padding are of course TÜV tested, GS certified, pollutant-free, UV resistant and extremely resistant to abrasion.
