"In working on the creation of Joorie, I kept having flashbacks to the farmhouse where my family would go during our summer vacations. There were two acres of land surrounding the little house, fenced with pine trees along the borders. Berries, fig, jasmine, petunias, chamomile, and lavendar were just a few of the many plants that we had growing in the gardens. Most majestic of all was the one rose bush that yielded the most beautiful red roses, and it was this plant that I would visit on a daily basis – not only to see the majestic velvety red petals and superior elegance of the roses, but also to capture a whiff of the sensual perfume that this rose would so elegantly emit." - Moe Khalaf (Founder & Kajal Creative Officer).
This was the main inspiration behind the scent of Joorie. Working with Drom’s perfumer, Alix Miral, a masterpiece of a fragrance was created. An inviting and warm nutmeg-and-clove opening creates the top notes of Joorie. Lemon and bergamot are also added to create a zest of freshness to the scent – and traces of ginger and pepper linger not far behind. The heart of the fragrance is rose infused with the fruity, almost banana-like notes of ylang-ylang and orange blossom. The base notes and dry down of the fragrance is a beautiful honey scent masked with musk, tonka beans, and a woody sandalwood-and-cedar mix that creates a long-lasting impression for the wearer that keeps you wanting more.
