Alphacool Eisball Digital RGB ball reservoir
Never before has there been a reservoir for water cooling that has differed so greatly from all other reservoirs on the market. Alphacool is the first company to use transparent nylon for water cooling and the first to create a ball shaped reservoir with pump support. Alphacool has already had very good experience using nylon with the Eisblock XPX CPU cooler series. Due to this experience, Alphacool was able to create the Eisball. This makes the Alphacool Eisball an unrivalled.
Is the Eisball Quiet?
The Eisball is not only a reservoir, but also a pump top. All VPP and Laing D5 pumps are compatible with the Eisball. The unique way the pump is inserted into the Eisball has been patented. It is almost entirely surrounded by the water inside the reservoir. Due to this, the water acts as a noise insulator and dampens the nose and vibrations from the pump. This works better than any foam insulation. Since special decouplers are also enclosed with the Eisball, ensuring that any remaining vibrations from the pump are hardly transmitted to the case, if at all.
Multiple Mounting Options?
There are two basic ways to mount the Eisball and there are two mounting plates are included in the packaging. One mounting plate fits on 120 or 140 mm fan spacing. Of course, the fan slots on the radiators can also be used. Due to its round shape, the Eisball does not obstruct the air flow drastically.
With the second mounting plate one can mount the Eisball directly to a 2.5" SSD mounting space. A special Velcro fastener is also included. One side of the Velcro can be stuck to the mounting plate and the other side to any place in the case. And don't worry, the Velcro can easily withstand transport.
The (almost) indestructible Eisball!
A ball-shaped reservoir made of Plexiglas would immediately break if handled improperly. That's why Alphacool uses transparent nylon for the material. This allows the Eisball to fall off the table without suffering any major damage. Because transparent nylon is much more stable than plexiglass and breaks only by brute force. It is so strong, there are even cases of Alphacool staff using it to play a bit of football with the Eisball in the office!
