The aquainlet XT 150ml reservoir is mounted directly on an aquastream XT or Eheim 1046 pump. The design of the expansion tank is perfectly matched to the pump, the expansion tank and pump form a unit after assembly. In this case, the guideways for the mounting plate in the expansion tank are continued, so is the first time a stable mounting of the plate under the focus of the unit possible. This allows easy use of decoupling rubbers or a shoggy sandwich.
The expansion tank is sealed by an O-ring when plugged onto the suction nozzle of the pump, two latches lock into the pump housing and secure the expansion tank against removal and twisting, accidental loosening of the bayonet fitting of the pump is thus excluded. Two 90 ° offset connection threads (front and side) allow for flexible mounting of the return line, allowing the expansion tank to be used optimally even in confined spaces.
The aquainlet XT series reservoirs are closely related to the aqualis series and are also equipped with a borosilicate glass tube, which, in contrast to the acrylic glass commonly used for tube reservoirs, has very high hardness and scratch resistance, very low thermal expansion and outstanding performance has chemical and thermal resistance. The glass tube has an outer diameter of 50 mm and a wall thickness of 5 mm. Base and lid are made of Delrin, the lid and bottom are connected by a stainless steel rod.
The aquainlet XT variants have an acrylic glass window integrated in the floor and provide space for the installation of an LED (type 5 mm, not included in delivery). They are additionally equipped with electronic level measurement with USB and aquabus interface, a configurable alarm output and an external temperature sensor input. For monitoring and configuration the software aquasuite is available for download.
The four-pin aquabus interface also allows direct connection to an aquaero 5 controller (not included). The alarm output can either be configured as an artificial tacho signal for connection to a fan output with tacho signal evaluation (eg of the mainboard) or as a switching output, for example for switching an LED in the event of an alarm. In addition to the measured level, the external temperature sensor input is also available for alarm monitoring. The external temperature sensor input is compatible with all temperature sensors offered by Aqua Computer.
