The right tire tread can make all the difference in a winter tire. We designed the Blizzak ICE tread with more sipes and harder blocks - raised sections of the tire's rubber - to improve its grip and braking on snowy and icy roads. The design also helps the tire withstand the harshest winter conditions to continuously maintain excellent performance.

Blizzak ICE is a winter tire designed to help you feel safe and prepared for any winter road situation, especially on icy roads. Tire skidding occurs when a thin film of water forms on the ice, preventing the tires from contacting the road surface. To prevent this, the Blizzak ICE uses a multi-cell compound that absorbs water released from the ice to ensure firm grip.
